Article Processing Charges

The Lebanese Medical Journal (LMJ) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal committed to disseminating high-quality medical and healthcare research to readers worldwide. To support the editorial, production, and dissemination processes associated with scholarly publishing, LMJ charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 300 for each manuscript accepted for publication.

Purpose of the APC

As an open-access journal, LMJ provides immediate and unrestricted access to all published articles, ensuring that research findings are freely available to clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and the public. The APC contributes to the costs of:

  • Editorial and Peer-Review Management – Coordinating a thorough, transparent, and independent peer-review process.
  • Manuscript Processing and Production – Professional copyediting, typesetting, formatting, and quality assurance.
  • Online Publication and Archiving – Maintaining secure digital hosting and long-term preservation of published content.
  • Indexing and Discoverability – Increasing the visibility and accessibility of articles through academic databases and indexing services.
  • Open Access Distribution – Ensuring unrestricted global access to scientific knowledge without subscription or paywall barriers.

By collecting this fee, LMJ is able to maintain high publishing standards, support efficient editorial operations, and promote the worldwide dissemination of medical research and scientific innovation.
