Authors wishing to publish in Journal Medical Libanais (JML) are requested to submit their manuscripts in accordance with the journal's submission guidelines. To facilitate an efficient editorial assessment and peer review process, all submissions must be complete and accompanied by the required supporting documents. Incomplete submissions may be returned to the corresponding author for revision before editorial evaluation.
A complete manuscript submission should include the following:
- Manuscript File: A complete manuscript prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format, following the journal's formatting and author guidelines.
- Complete Author Information: Full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, department, city, country, email addresses, and the designation of the corresponding author with complete contact details.
- ORCID iD: All authors are strongly encouraged to provide their Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID iD) to ensure accurate author identification and enhance research visibility.
- References: References must be prepared in MLA style and should be complete, accurate, and consistent. Wherever available, each reference must include the correct Digital Object Identifier (DOI) or a direct and accessible URL to the original source.
- Cover Letter: A cover letter signed or approved by the corresponding author confirming that:
- The manuscript is original and has not been published previously.
- The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
- All authors have reviewed and approved the submitted version.
- The research complies with the journal's ethical and publication policies.
- Ethical Approval Documentation (Where Applicable): Studies involving human participants, animals, or sensitive biological materials must include approval from the appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB), Ethics Committee, or equivalent authority. The manuscript should clearly state the ethics approval number, committee name, and date of approval where applicable.
- Conflict of Interest Statement: Authors must provide a clear declaration disclosing any financial, institutional, personal, or professional relationships that could influence, or appear to influence, the research. If no conflicts exist, authors should explicitly state: "The authors declare that they have no conflict of interest."
- Plagiarism Report: A plagiarism similarity report generated using Turnitin or an equivalent similarity detection software must accompany the submission. Authors are responsible for ensuring that the similarity index complies with the journal's plagiarism policy before submission. Manuscripts exceeding the acceptable similarity threshold may be returned for revision or rejected without entering the peer review process.
Authors are advised to carefully review the journal's Author Guidelines, publication ethics, and submission requirements before submitting their manuscripts. The Editorial Office reserves the right to request additional information or supporting documentation whenever necessary to ensure compliance with the journal's editorial, ethical, and publication standards.
